Investment Policy Committee
The Investment Policy Committee (IPC) is the dedicated team that makes all strategic investment decisions for client portfolios. The IPC, which includes Ken Fisher, Jeff Silk, Bill Glaser, Aaron Anderson and Michael Hanson, collectively monitors global economic and market conditions to devise and implement the firm's investment strategies with the support of the firm's large research department. The IPC has over 150 years of industry experience.
Ken Fisher
Founder
Ken founded Fisher Investments in 1979, now serving as Executive Chairman and Co-Chief Investment Officer. His prestigious Forbes “Portfolio Strategy” column ran from 1984 through 2016, making Ken the longest continuously running columnist in Forbes’ history. Jeff Silk
Jeff Silk is a Vice Chairman and Co-Chief Investment Officer. Jeff oversees all portfolio management functions across a wide range of investment strategies at the firm. Jeff joined Fisher Investments in 1983 as one of the firm's first employees. Prior to his current role, Jeff was President and Chief Operating Officer and has also served as Director of Trading and Operations. He has been an Executive Officer since 1988 and a member of the firm's Board of Managers since 2002. Jeff is a member of the University of San Francisco Board of Trustees Investment Committee.
Bill Glaser
Bill Glaser is the Executive Vice President of Portfolio Management and Co-Chief Investment Officer. Bill joined Fisher Investments in 1999 and has served on the firm's five-member IPC since 2011. He was appointed Co-Chief Investment Officer in 2022. Prior to his current responsibilities, Bill held several different positions at the firm, including Capital Markets Research Team Leader, Securities Research Team Leader and Securities Research Analyst.
Aaron Anderson
Aaron Anderson is a Senior Vice President of Research, currently overseeing the firm's global macroeconomic and capital markets research. He has been with Fisher Investments since 2005 and has previously served as Capital Markets Team Leader and Innovation Manager. He is the author of two books, including Own the World: How Smart Investors Create Global portfolios. He is also a regular guest on major financial TV networks, like CNBC, and is quoted in publications, like The
Wall Street Journal and Reuters, for his thoughts on market developments.
Michael Hanson
Michael Hanson is a Senior Vice President of Research currently overseeing Fisher Investments’ Research Group. He has been with the firm since 2002 and has previously served as a Securities Team Leader, Institutional Client Services Manager, Capital Markets Team Leader and VP of Portfolio Management Communication. He is also the author of 20/20 Money.
Damian Ornani
CEO
Chief Executive Officer Damian Ornani joined Fisher Investments in 1997 and currently oversees all the firm’s non-investment operations. Damian became CEO in 2016. He previously was the President of Client Acquisition and Service, where he oversaw marketing, sales and client service for the firm’s global clients. He is a member of The Wall Street Journal CEO Council, the prominent G100 Network of chief executive officers and the CNBC CEO Council.
